I started making Raku jewelry for myself as a hobby, and fell in love with the whole process of creating it. 

It all starts when I create the bead from clay.  I choose a special glaze for each pendant and hope for spectacular colors when they come out of the fire.  The exciting thing is you never know what you are going to get because Raku firing is a very unpredictable art. 

The beautiful flecks of coloring, varying textures, and metallic flashing are what make Raku special to me.  It guarantees that no two beads are alike.  Raku jewelry is not just jewelry; it is art.  I believe that art should not be something you just put on your shelf to admire.  It can also be something special, as unique as you, that you can wear wherever you go!
