For a view of my work from start to finish, please take a moment to watch the video!  Thanks!

Putting the rack of beads in the kiln.

Time to close the kiln.

The kiln is getting hotter!

Making sure nothing is touching.

The kiln is now at about 1200 degrees.  You can see the glaze start to change colors.

The kiln is to temperature so now we open it up.

The rack of beads is grabbed with the tongs to move it to the reduction chamber.

The rack is moved carefully to the reduction chamber.  This is done while the beads are still red hot!

The rack is set in the reduction chamber with combustibles to start

the reduction process.

The smoke is a good sign.

Cover with lid for airtight seal.

Covering reduction chamber with wet rags for better reduction.  This equals more color.

The smoke has stopped so it is time to open up the reduction chamber and see what we got.  Very exciting!

The beads after reduction.  We got some awesome colors!  Now to take them home and make them into something special for you to wear.
